Hyundai Motor Europe’s best-selling EV, the Kona Electric, receives a sporty N Line treatment, complete with eye-catching design elements that are bound to turn heads on the road.

The 2024 version of the Kona Electric represents a significant improvement over its predecessor. Hyundai added some design elements of the Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 to modernize its appearance and improve its efficiency.

The 2024 Hyundai Kona Electric is almost 6 inches longer than the previous model, offering extra legroom in the back seat. Inside you’ll find an upgraded interior featuring Hyundai’s next-gen infotainment system. Dual 12.3-inch touchscreens and a faster user interface are now standard, along with support for Apple CarPlay and Wireless Android Auto.

But it is the latest N Line version that is entirely new for this model year. Hyundai has added a range of N Line elements for an immediately recognizable appearance. It gest more aggressive front and rear bumpers as well as exclusive 19-inch wheels.

Inside there are new sporty seats with red stitching and N Line badges. Red accents on the steering wheel and dashboard give the Kona Electric N Line a sports car feel. There are also N Line metal pedals and glossy black side mirrors.

Customers in the UK are the first ones to get their hands on the Kona N-Line. They can choose between two trims: the N Line or N Line S. The Kona Electric N Line with cloth seats a 65 kWh battery start at £40,395. The N Line S with an “eco-alcantara” and leather combination starts at £43,095 and gains heated and ventilated seats and a premium BOSE sound system.

On the outside, the N Line S boasts signature full-width DRL and full-projection LED headlamps, along with additional safety features. Production of the new Kona Electric N Line is set to begin in February, with the first models hitting the market this spring.

While this particular model is initially targeted at the European market, there’s a strong likelihood that Hyundai will launch the N Line version in the United States. The US has become a pivotal market for Hyundai, as the demand for EVs continues to surge. In 2023, Hyundai and Kia captured around 8% of the US passenger EV market, with approximately 117,000 electric models delivered, even without qualifying for the $7,500 EV tax credit, which is currently only available through leasing.
