UK clean energy solutions provider Enviromena is on track to finalise two solar power projects with 42 MWp of combined capacity in the south of England in early 2024, it said in a statement on Friday.
The 24.2-MWp Horsey Levels solar plant project in Bridgwater, Somerset, includes the installation of close to 45,200 bifacial photovoltaic panels capable of generating over 28 GWh of electricity per year.
The 17.8-MWp Kiln Fields project in the village of Heckfield in Hampshire features 33,102 bifacial panels, which will produce over 19 GWh each year, Enviromena said.
The company is on target to energise both plants early next year.
“[…] These two high yielding schemes form part of a portfolio that will deliver a considerable contribution to the UK’s transition to Net Zero targets and we are looking forward to energising both projects alongside commencing construction on a further 150MW of projects in early 2024,” Enviromena CEO Chris Marsh said in the statement.
Environmena says it has more than 2,000 MW of active solar farms and battery energy storage systems in development and operation across the UK and Europe.
