US solar energy company Empower Energies Inc has wrapped up the construction of a 7.6-MW solar installation at a large commercial office park in Columbus, Ohio.
The project involved the installation of a large solar canopy across several parking lots as well as rooftop solar systems on four- and five-story buildings. These facilities are expected to produce more than 9 million kWh in the first year of operation.
The solar systems were built for an unnamed company on the Fortune 100 list. Empower has already completed 32.7 MW of similar operational renewable energy projects for the same customer across the country.
Empower’s current development pipeline includes over 1 GW of solar and storage projects. The company has so far completed more than 200 MW of clean energy installations nationwide.
