US utility-scale solar developer and operator Adapture Renewables Inc said today it has acquired three solar projects with a combined capacity of 333 MW AC/450 MW DC in Illinois and Arkansas from TED Renewables.
Once up and running, the projects will significantly expand Adapture Renewables’ portfolio of operating assets to about 800 MW DC.
The three projects, which are located in the MISO (Midcontinent Independent System Operator) territory, are currently in the pre-Notice to Proceed stage, according to the announcement. They are expected to come online in 2025 and 2026.
The seller, which is a subsidiary of developer Tyr Energy Inc, has been developing the projects over the past five years.
“These project acquisitions bolster our company’s mission to expand clean energy solutions and drive sustainability in the power generation sector,” said Christina Conrad, senior director of M&A at Adapture Renewables.
Adapture Renewables is owned by KIRKBI, the private holding and investment company of the Kirk Kristiansen family established to build a sustainable future for the LEGO brand.
