All photovoltaic (PV) modules have been put in on the Western Downs Inexperienced Energy Hub in Queensland’s Western Downs area, a 400-MW photo voltaic farm that’s stated to be Australia’s largest.
The ultimate testing and commissioning part will now begin to deliver the venture to full capability, in response to an announcement by the Queensland authorities this week.
The proprietor of the venture is French developer Neoen SA (EPA:NEOEN), which has a take care of CleanCo for Queensland’s publicly-owned clear power firm to offtake 80% of the technology.
That includes greater than 1 million panels, the photo voltaic park is already delivering greater than 350 MW to the Queensland SuperGrid by way of a brand new line constructed by Powerlink.
The photo voltaic farm helps the goal of 70% renewable power by 2032 within the Queensland Vitality and Jobs Plan.
