Spanish family-owned renewable power producer Norvento Enerxia has secured market representation services for 128 MW of wind farms it has in north-west Spain.

In a statement on Tuesday, Norvento said it has strengthened its existing alliance with Swiss energy trader Alpiq by reaching a new agreement for the provision of market representation services for 2024.

The agreement will see Alpiq represent six of Norvento’s wind farms in the Spanish region of Galicia — the 19.8-MW Cadeira, 9.9-MW Carracedo, 34.7-MW Neda, 36.0-MW A Pastoriza, 18.0-MW Sasdonigas and the 9.9-MW Sasdonigas II. These wind farms will participate in intraday and balancing markets through Alpiq, Norvento said.

Norvento has 250 MW of installed renewables capacity, most of it wind power. It says its portfolio includes more than 1,000 MW of projects, mainly wind, under development in Spain.
