Estonian renewables company Enefit Green AS (TAL:EGR1T) said on Wednesday that it has taken the final investment decision (FID) on 17 MW of solar power projects in Latvia.
The company will be building the 11-MW Carnikava Dzerves and the 6-MW Carnikava Austrumi solar farms in the Baltic country, anticipating the start of electricity production in the summer of 2024.
The two projects are part of Enefit Green’s investment plan to boost the company’s generation capacity to 1,900 MW by the end of 2026.
At present, Enefit Green has 519 MW of operational capacity and 525 MW of wind and 100 MW of solar farms under construction, it says.
