EVLO Power Storage Inc, a unit of Canadian utility Hydro-Quebec, has appointed contractors that can work to understand its utility-scale scale photo voltaic mission with a proprietary battery within the District of Summerland, British Columbia.
The corporate stated on Thursday it had teamed up with Wildstone Building Group, a basic contractor serving Western and Northern Canada, and Skyfire Power, a photo voltaic panel set up contractor.
Collectively, the trio will set up a 0.4-MW photo voltaic array and 4 EVLO 1000 battery vitality storage models with EVLO’s proprietary EMS management system that can present 4 MWh of storage capability.
The photo voltaic farm shall be geo-ballasted, which suggests no floor anchors or concrete shall be wanted throughout development. As EVLO defined, this may assist minimise the carbon depth of the mission.
The hybrid energy station would be the first such mission within the District of Summerland, and likewise EVLO’s first in Western Canada. The 2-year previous firm has a number of storage websites in operation and below growth in North America and France.
