Swedish project developer Arise AB (STO:ARISE) has sold a 105-MW onshore wind project at home to domestic private forest owner Svenska Cellulosa (STO:SCA-B) at an enterprise value of about SEK 1.6 billion (USD 145m/EUR 138m).
The Fasikan Vind AB project is situated on SCA land in the Bracke municipality of Jamtland County. It is sold at a ready-to-build stage with construction works set to begin in November.
Equipped with 15 Nordex turbines, the Fasikan wind farm is expected to produce 333 GWh of power annually. It is planned to become operational in early 2026.
Arise said in a statement today that the purchase price includes a variable portion that depends on how construction work progresses in relation to the budget. The company will remain involved by managing the construction of the site.
SCA said separately that the total investment is projected to stand at SEK 1.7 billion (USD 155m/EUR 146m), adding that following the completion of the project it will become completely self-sufficient in terms of power production.
In addition to the Fasikan deal, Arise and SCA have also entered into an agreement for joint project development over six designated land terrains in the next 10 years.
