Swedish floating wind specialist Hexicon AB (STO:HEXI) has acquired permits to attach six floating wind websites in Italy with a mixed capability of seven.1 GW to the nationwide grid.
The permits have been granted by Italian transmission system operator (TSO) Terna SpA, Hexicon mentioned final week.
The Swedish developer is energetic in Italy by means of AvenHexicon, a 50/50 three way partnership with native renewables developer Avapa Power Srl. AvenHexicon is creating seven websites for floating wind off the coasts of Sardinia, Sicily and Puglia in southern Italy and the allow for the seventh undertaking is awaited shortly.
