Innergex Renewable Energy has had two of its onshore wind project’s selection in Hydro-Quebec’s request for proposals.

The 300MW Manicouagan wind farm is being developed in cooperation with the Innu Council of Pessamit and the regional county municipality of Manicouagan. Commercial operation is scheduled for 2029.

In addition, the 100MW Lotbinieree project was developed with the Regional County Municipality of Lotbiniere and the Abenaki Councils of Odanak and Wôlinak. The project is scheduled to enter commercial operations in 2028.

Both projects power purchase agreements with Hydro-Quebec are expected to be structured as a 30-year take-or-pay contract, indexed to a predefined percentage of the Consumer Price Index.
