The three way partnership (JV) creating the 525-MW Lupiae Maris floating offshore wind undertaking in Italy has submitted its Environmental Affect Evaluation (EIA) software to the Italian Ministry of Atmosphere and Power Safety and to the Ministry of Tradition, in line with an announcement on Monday.
The JV, created to develop the undertaking in September 2022, is between European renewables platform Galileo Inexperienced Power GmbH and Italy’s Hope Group.
The EIA software is a key milestone in direction of securing planning permission, the builders mentioned. It follows greater than two years of environmental research and undertaking improvement.
The undertaking proposes the set up of 35 floating wind generators off the coasts of Brindisi and Lecce within the southern Adriatic Sea. It’s being described as probably the most mature offshore wind initiatives in Italy and one of many first to file EIA software.
The builders will begin a marketing campaign within the spring for exact wind useful resource evaluation.
