UK photo voltaic power developer Lightsource bp mentioned on Wednesday that it had obtained environmental approval for 1,620 MW of photo voltaic tasks in Spain.
The proposed capability is to be distributed throughout 19 accredited tasks with websites positioned within the provinces of Zaragoza, Seville, Cordoba, Toledo and Valladolid.
The corporate mentioned that the development of those photo voltaic farms will contain an funding of EUR 1.2 billion (USD 1.28bn).
The tasks have the potential to create over 5,000 jobs throughout building and a few 90 positions when the photo voltaic farms begin operation. Lightsource bp expects the vegetation to be in operation by 2025.
One other plan for the portfolio is securing electrical energy consumers and shut long-term energy buy agreements (PPAs).
