Danish clear power group Ørsted A/S (CPH:ORSTED) stated at the moment it has inked a 150-MW energy buy settlement (PPA) with Google to offer the tech big with electrical energy from its 268-MW Helena wind farm in Bee County, Texas.
The 15-year PPA is Ørsted’s first settlement with Google within the US and the businesses’ second globally.

The contracts help Google’s purpose to function on 24/7 carbon free power by 2030.
Sana Ouji, power lead at Google, defined that this goal requires mixing varied sources to optimise for hourly manufacturing. “We’re excited to continue our partnership with Ørsted and add this wind project to our existing solar portfolio in ERCOT as we serve customers out of our Dallas cloud region,” Ouji added.
Helena wind farm was commissioned in the course of 2022 and generates energy for the South ERCOT service territory. It’s a part of the 518-MW Helena Vitality Centre, which additionally features a 250-MW photo voltaic venture.
