Savion LLC, a Shell Plc (LON:SHEL) portfolio firm, has signed an influence buy settlement (PPA) to dump the output from its proposed 100-MWac photo voltaic farm in Elkhart County, Indiana.
Underneath the settlement, Indiana Michigan Energy, a part of utility group American Electrical Energy Firm Inc (NASDAQ:AEP), is about to acquire the whole output from the photo voltaic farm, Savion mentioned in an announcement this week.
The Elkhart County Photo voltaic Challenge is sited in Benton Township. The plan for now could be to have the photo voltaic farm occupy round 850 acres (344 ha), with era capability projected to be 100 MWac, in line with the announcement.
In September 2022, Elkhart County Commissioners authorized a rezoning utility and the Financial Growth Settlement for Savion’s photo voltaic farm proposal. The mission is presently advancing via the location diligence part.
