Scotland picks 5.5 GW of floating wind tasks in INTOG spherical

13 offshore wind tasks representing about 5.5 GW of capability have been chosen in a first-of-its-kind seabed leasing spherical in Scotland aimed toward decarbonising offshore oil and fuel platforms within the North Sea and fostering innovation.

Crown Property Scotland at this time introduced the outcomes of its Innovation and Focused Oil & Fuel (INTOG) leasing course of, providing preliminary agreements to 13 tasks out of 19 functions. 5 tasks with a complete proposed capability of as much as about 500 MW had been chosen for the Innovation class, which is for small-scale progressive developments of as much as 100 MW.
