Singapore-based diversified group Sembcorp Industries Ltd (SGX:U96), through its renewables unit, has tapped Suzlon Power Ltd (BOM:532667) to provide and set up generators for a 50.4-MW wind farm venture within the Indian state of Karnataka.
Suzlon mentioned on Wednesday it had gained an order from Sembcorp’s Inexperienced Infra Wind Power Restricted for the supply of 24 models of its 2.1-MW wind generators with a hybrid lattice tubular (HLT) tower. The contract contains the provision of the machines, set up and commissioning companies and complete operation and upkeep post-commissioning, the Indian turbine producer mentioned.
Commissioning of the wind farm is predicted in 2024.
The unnamed venture is a part of the bid gained from Railway Power Administration Firm Restricted (REMCL) by Sembcorp. The Singapore-based group was awarded 50.4 MW of capability following the tariff-based bidding course of, Suzlon mentioned in Wednesday’s assertion.
