Indian solar module maker Emmvee has been selected by local solar and hybrid power generating company KPI Green Energy Ltd (BOM:542323) to equip a 240-MW solar plant at home.
The order is for 300 MWp of Emmvee’s Bifacial MonoPERC Solar panels which will be delivered for the project being realised in the Khavda village in the western Indian state of Gujarat, according to a press release published Thursday.
The future solar site will supply power to the state electricity regulation board, Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).
The solar panel delivery is scheduled to be completed between June 2024 and May 2025. The first batches are expected to arrive as soon as March.
Emmvee’s current module manufacturing capacity stands at 3 GWp. The company is on track to launch a new 1.5-GWp cell line in the first half of 2024.
