Spain’s renewables generated 13,742 GWh of electrical energy in January, up by 40.9% year-on-year, in response to the newest preliminary figures launched by Spanish grid operator Pink Electrica de Espana (REE).
It was the best stage of month-to-month electrical energy manufacturing for renewables since data started, REE stated.
The renewables share within the January energy combine was 57.4%, primarily because of push from wind farms. Fixed and average winds enabled wind farms to extend manufacturing by 39.2% year-on-year to 7,537 GWh in January. Photo voltaic PV output rose by 6.3%, whereas hydroelectric crops, dried up for months final 12 months, boosted manufacturing by 93.8% in comparison with January 2022, REE stated.

Demand for electrical energy throughout Spain’s territory fell by 3% on the 12 months to an estimated 22,052 GWh. Adjusted for temperatures and labour patterns, demand dropped by, nationwide demand dropped by 4.1% in comparison with January final 12 months.
