Spanish solar panel installer SolarProfit (BME:SPH) said on Thursday that it has signed a agreement with online lodging marketplace Airbnb Inc (NASDAQ:ABNB) to offer solar self-consumption systems and air-source heat pumps to Airbnb hosts.
It said that the agreement is part of its strategy to work with top-level partners to boost sales through new channels. As that partner, Airbnb will promote SolarProfit’s solar and aerothermal energy solutions among hosts, aiming to transform their homes into more sustainable destinations.
As an incentive, the first 400 interested property owners with receive grants of up to EUR 1,100 (USD 1.198) from Airbnb and will benefit from a 5% discount on SolarProfit’s services.
SolarProfit said that the campaign was launched in November. The offer will be available until April 30, 2024.
