Indian wind turbine manufacturer Suzlon Energy Ltd (NSE:SUZLON) will execute a 31.5-MW wind project in the states of Maharashtra and Karnataka under a repeat order from renewables project management company Integrum Energy Infrastructure Pvt Ltd.
Suzlon has been contracted to deliver and install 15 machines of 2.1 MW each for this project, which should be commissioned next May. Additionally, the company will offer post‐commissioning operation and maintenance (O&M) services.
“The power generated from this project will be used for captive consumption, creating deeper penetration of renewable energy in India,” Suzlon CEO JP Chalasani pointed out.
The company estimates that a project of this size can provide electricity to around 20,000 homes.
