Italian renewable vitality firm Renantis SpA has signed a company energy buy settlement (PPA) for a portion of the output of its 46.8-MW wind farm in Sweden.
The off-taker is Luxembourg-based producer of high-performance plastic caps and enclosures United Caps. Below the PPA, United Caps will annually procure round 65 GWh of electrical energy generated by Renantis’s Alinden wind farm, the businesses stated in a joint press launch on Thursday.

The settlement will run for ten years.
The Alinden wind farm is positioned in Ornskoldsvik, Vasternorrland County, northern Sweden. Operational since 2019, the wind farm can generate 160 GWh of electrical energy yearly.
The procurement will contribute to United Caps’ scope 1 and scope 2 emissions discount targets, and likewise allow its European operations to run on 100% inexperienced electrical energy, the press launch stated.
