Brazilian wind turbine blades manufacturer Aeris (BVMF:AERI3) has signed a new amendment to its supply contract with Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS), including an extension until the end of 2028.
Depending on certain conditions, such as demand from Vestas in Brazil, Aeris could supply wind blades with a capacity of nearly 8.8 GW, which already considers the volume renegotiation contracted for 2024.
The Brazilian company calculates that, if realised, the extension until 2028 could lead to a net revenue increase of up to BRL 7.6 billion (USD 1.5bn/EUR 1.4bn).
The partnership between Aeris and Vestas dates back to 2015. Until now, Aeris has delivered more than 8.5 GW of wind blades for both domestic and export markets, the company noted.
