Chinese solar panel maker YuanTech Solar Co Ltd said on Friday that it has signed an agreement to supply N-type TOPCon high-efficiency photovoltaic modules to a “well-known distributor” in Valencia, Spain.
The unnamed Spanish distributor selected 72-cell and 54-cell all-black modules of the TOPCon series, befitting local market characteristics and technical trends. The size of what YuanTech says is its first TOPCon shipment to Spain was not disclosed.
The TOPCon modules are characterised by high efficiency, low degradation, low temperature coefficient, better week-light response, and are suitable for all kinds of distributed projects, according to the manufacturer.
“Spain is a very important European market for us, and we will strive to seize the development opportunities of renewable energy, constantly improve product quality and services, increase market expansion efforts to serve more customers and end users,” Mr. Xie Jian, CEO of YuanTech Solar, said in a prepared statement.
Established in January 2022, the young company specialises in new-generation N-type TOPCon photovoltaic products. It says it plans to invest CNY 1.5 billion (USD 205.8m/EUR 189.3m) to build a 5-GW solar panel factory in Chuzhou in China’s Anhui province.
