US test and measurement solutions provider Fluke Corp, a unit of US industrial technologies company Fortive Corp (NYSE:FTV), has unveiled the acquisition of Solmetric, a California-based maker of high precision, solar test and measurement products.
The investment, whose terms were not disclosed, was aligned with Fluke’s push to become a leader in solar solutions and its strategic commitment to investing in electrification, a press release said.
Solmetric’s flagship product is the PV Analyzer, a I-V curve tracer for solar installations used for field testing applications such as commissioning, auditing and troubleshooting solar arrays. It also offers, among others, the SunEye shade measurement tool. The company was founded in 2005.
