Poland’s R.Power SA is selling a 26.5-MWp portfolio of small-scale solar photovoltaic projects in Italy to focus on developing medium-sized and larger plants.
The solar power producer said that it has reached an agreement with Nexta Infrastructure Holdco Limited to sell the projects, expecting to close the deal by no later than June 2024.
The package includes schemes ranging from 1 MWp to 7.3 MWp located in different parts of Italy, including Sicily and Umbria. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The transaction is in line with R.Power’s asset rotation strategy and “a deliberate shift in focus from small-scale to medium and large-scale projects,” the company said, adding that it remains committed to growing in Italy.
Its pipeline there stands at over 700 MWp of projects under active development, according to the firm.
