Finnish cranes and lifting tools maker Konecranes (HEL:KCR) has inked a deal to provide 4 electrical overhead cranes to Siemens Gamesa Renewable Power SA’s offshore wind turbine nacelle plant in Taichung, Taiwan.
The order was booked within the first quarter of 2023, whereas the set up is scheduled for the primary quarter of 2024, the provider stated in a press launch earlier this week.
The contract with the Finnish agency will assist Siemens Gamesa’s push to broaden manufacturing on the facility. The wind turbine maker has contracts in place to equip and repair the whole 1,044-MW Hai Lengthy offshore wind farm.
Konecranes’ customised cranes, with lifting capacities of as much as 400 tonnes, will assist the whole materials dealing with of the location’s broadened manufacturing scope and shall be on the heart of a steady manufacturing move.
